We had 2 nights here for our wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. Jonathan and Allison were perfect hosts; the cheese and home-reared bacon are superb. Even in bad weather, there is something a little magical about a wood fired hot tub. We would highly recommend it.

We went to Raby Castle and decided to visit this small cafe on a farm. I don't like cheese but my sister and husband love it. I had the scotch egg which was vert tasty. I ordered the cheese and meat plater for my husband and sister and they were over the moon, not only with the cheese but the owner came and explained each cheese and why he had added little pots to go with each. The brie was definitely the favourite. And the guest cheddar. I think the owners were going on holiday so unfortunately the shop did not have any. They do demonstrations but you have to book in advance. Raby Castle was a disappointment but coming here made the day out. Oh forgot the lovely deserts

We had a lovely two night stay in Ash. Jonathan and Allison were very welcoming and informative. There were a couple of things to pick out, but it didnt make or break our opinion of the accomodation. 1.Unfortunately the heating wasn't working during our stay, at the time the nights had begun to cool and we found it a little.on the chilli side after coming out of the hot tub.
2.The surrounding grassed area, around the picnic table and bbq area was quite unkempt and long.
Other than that, the stay itself was really nice. It was wonderful hearing the owls come out at sunset and watching the farm animals on the other side of the fence.

Had a great two nights in Holly our little hideaway from every day life. The owners make you feel most welcome and don't get in your way whilst glamping. The breakfast at the cafe was great and the coffee too. Wood fired hot tub gets some getting used to and patience is needed when reaching required temperature. Cheese and meat are superb. All in all we would have no hesitation in recommending this back to nature, WiFi and TV free break.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Ash Lodge at Teesdale Cheesemakers. The weekend was amazing, from the off grid glamping to the warm friendly welcome by Jonathan and Allison, we couldn't have asked for anything more. A stop of in the cafe before we headed home for a coffee and a couple of purchases in the little shop ended a perfect weekend. Allison's Garlic Cheese was an absolute hit with us and we will definitely be visiting again for more cheese and tranquility!

We love coming here, whether it's breakfast, lunch or the special Friday evening menus. A hidden gem in the local community! A lovely couple of days spent recently in the new glamping pods, now with private hot tubs. What a beautiful place to while away the afternoon and watch the stars come out at night.

Visited yesterday afternoon in the glorious sunshine with my wife & daughter. Lovely atmosphere, has a mediterranean vibe that is both welcoming and relaxing. An excellent choice of food and drink, locally produced and sourced. We had the cheese & meat sharing platter which was delicious. I highly recommend visiting, great place, we're definitely going back. 👍

Lovely friendly warm welcome as always from these guys. Nice cosy feel to the place , easy to find and you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.
Highly recommend their home reared pork as well as their top notch cheese. Try a pork burger with a slice of Doris on top, washed down with a brew. Really good value for money as well. We'll be back!
